the m3 is also one of my favorites, next to the 8. but, a new M3 is just too expensive for me. and, i've been weary of getting a used one because of the tendency of these cars to be owned by punk teenagers who drive the **** outta them. (i have friends who've been on the receiving end of this.) and, the maintenance costs on the m3 are very high compared to other cars- not to mention gas mileage not much better than our 8s.
i've been dreaming on the bmwusa web site all day... <lol> these are my 2 faves so far.

Was thinking of the M3 CS - they are 'bout $38K USD.
Now may be something with torque.
>4 x displacement
>2 x power
+800 lbs.
And the same mileage as the 8.
LS6 and 4 doors.
HP options >600HP.
$28K USD
Think Po' Man's M5.
EvoX - +10K in Canada, USA not admissable - so sad as you can get HP for free.
If there was a reliable way to add 100hp to the 8 - I'd be keeping mine, or at least staying with the 8 platform.
But I don't think there is any major HP increase that will withstand a 30 minute track day session like the stock NA does.
Can't wait to see the M3 done up "Rockstar Style"

Hahaha thx Dave!!! I think I'm going for more a simple style this time... got lectured by the fiancee last night!!
I was driving around in the M3 last night, with the mix of highway and city driving, and I pushed the car a bit with the SPORT Mode on the highway, I got 11.4L/100Km... I think that's pretty decent, even better than my G35X...
Lota people are asking me what I'm gonna do to the car first and stuff like that... but my answer is... SNOW TIRES... lol. You just gotta love the Canadian winter, never know when the mother nature is gonna give you a 20cm surprise..
After I picked up the car, I realized that it DOES have the competition package, the adjustment on the both seats are amazing, you can adjust it to a point that it wraps you in the seat and feels like sitting in my BRIDE Seat~
Awesome car, I really like it so far, and my buddies were trying to find flaw on the car but just can't. It's in such a good condition, even the seats look brand new!!

I guess that's what happens with the Canadian weather, you can never keep a car clean in the winter~
Maybe I should post pictures up at the "Before & After" Thread to show the process of the mod... LOL if my fiancee' hasn't killed me by then.
She drove the car yesterday as well, she likes it alot, and I'm slowly planting seeds in her head that we need big wheels and all carbon parts.. Let's see what happens!!
