OEM Ignition Coil install this weekend
#26
it wasn't the nut it was the bolt that snapped.....and they are spot welded in.....which means if you snap them the plate needs to come out, you have to grind off thehead of the bolt then find a replacement....also, I have big hands so I scrape myself all the time....but you are right....it would be working on a car with out hurting yourself....and remember...blood and oil mix

I have a garage...but its in ktown.......the wires are on there well...just wiggle them as you pull them off.......be carefull though....if you are reusing the stock wires they have a spring loaded connector on the inside of the wire connection point.....if it falls out you just have to put it back in before you reconnect the wire...but just dont want you to drop it somewhere in the engine bay.....it will be lost forever.

hey thump, when i did my wires, they were pretty stuck on as well to the tip of the coil...i've found if you kinda "peel" at one side of the rubber seal (part going over the coil connection) you can wedge the tip of you finger under the rubber cap and just go around the entire tip of the coil, after that it will come out nicely...all the heat makes those caps stick on pretty tight!

Well if ppl want, everyone that wants to can come here, we can basically take the whole thing apart so all I'm left with is wires then play some poker after? That way I only have to put the coils back in next week when I get the new ones and that won't be much of a deal after I get the current ones off.
Up to you guys, one way or the other, I'm gonna take it apart so I can swap it quick next week.
Say 3ish since no install? It's late now and I gotta sleep in hehe. Currently it looks like there might be the odd BS kinda challenges.
