Some 407 on-ramps are long and are relatively straight... They are good enough for a Mazda B2300 truck to go 149 (for which I tried), so shouldnt be a problem for our 8 at all... LOL~!
I have never seen people got pulled over on those "high speed ramps" so far... Somehow, they seemed like a good spot to speed a bit... Am I right?
=P

The one on Gardiner....too many blind corners during day time...may got traffic jam at the end and ur fcked...but yeah...that one is ok
I did going UP at 135km/h recently...feels so smooth....
Oh well...its like this...111km/h 404 S...105km/h DVP S....then incrase to 130km/h from DVP to Gardiner then back to 105km/h passing the downtown core and exit at spadina...
and I still got 100km/h per 1/4 tank...I guess its not that bad...
One thing I like about Montreal though is that most people there drive more aggressively so you have more time to practice your defensive driving lol

STREET-RACING LAW QUESTIONED
The province says it will appeal a judge’s ruling that deemed its street-racing law unconstitutional.
“Our position is that the street-racing provisions are constitutional and that they are an important public safety initiative,” Ministry of the Attorney General spokesman Brendan Crawley told Canada.com, adding the Crown will appeal the decision at the Ontario Court of Justice.
“In the interim, people should understand that the street-racing provisions are still in effect, and police can still lay charges.”
The law sets a minimum fine for street racing of $2,000 and a top fine of $10,000.
Napanee Justice G.J. Griffin put the law in question last week, ruling it wrongly makes way for individuals to face jail time even if they’re not deemed morally responsible for the crime.

CBC: Court Appeals Street Racing law Thursday, March 18, 2010
The Ontario Court of Appeal has overturned a lower court ruling that found the street-racing section of the province's Highway Traffic Act was unconstitutional.
The Crown won its appeal Thursday of an Ontario Court of Justice ruling that overturned the guilty verdict against 62-year-old Jane Raham last September. It found the speeding regulation she was accused of violating unconstitutional.
The Oakville woman was charged with driving at a speed of 131 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. Raham had testified in a Napanee court that she sped up to pass a large truck.
Driving more than 50 km/h over the speed limit, which the law refers to as "driving stunt," violates the province's Highway Traffic Act.
The Court of Appeal ruled that Judge Geoffrey Griffin erred in finding the regulation unconstitutional because it doesn't require that the person accused of speeding have criminal intent, making a conviction virtually automatic.
The Appeal Court set aside Raham's acquittal but ruled that in the interest of fairness, she should have the chance to put forward a defence based on a due-diligence argument at a new trial.
A due diligence defence on the stunt-driving charge amounts to a claim that the defendant took all reasonable care to avoid committing the offence.

figures, they make a law aimed at the young, then, finally an oldie get in the mix, they are like....WTF?, that wasn't supposed to happen, this is aimed at young drivers, now it's all fucked!
This law is nothing short of plain old discrimination and police having the power of arbiter of justice, which they have not been educated to do.
Cops being bullies more than advocaters of peace, the way of the OPP.
