oil foam
I am sure that this question has been answered several times before, but I am new to the car and the forum so some leniency please.
I have noticed that my oil is so full of foam that is sometimes hard to read the level.
Is this " normal " or should I be running to my service manager, or switching to synthetic oil?
Thanks!

I had an oil change the other day and the monkey was quite concerned about it. It took about 10 tries before she (yes, she) could get a reading on the oil level. I told her not to worry about it. I happens a lot, especially in cold weather with a lot of short runs. And no, an engine flush won't be necessary, thank you very much.

There was a minor recall that entails the installation of a plastic sleeve and new dip stick that's supposed take care of the "peanut butter". Just complain to your dealer and they should take care of it. Should take about 5 minutes.
BTW search works too.
