Just wondering where and what time everyone is getting together to cruise down together to montreal for there anual RX Show N shine with BBQ and all.

Meeting say OTTAWA Princess Auto ( off of hawthorne ) at 9:15 am and leaving at 9:45 am to get there around 12:00 ish.

Lets try and make it a good pack .

They even made an awesome banner so we have to go.

a few 2nd gens
one or two first gens
2 3rd gens
and 3 RX8s

are going to head down to montreal from ottawa, any guys here up for the day

 

I'll be driving the rx8 i just picked up, hopefully i can meet some fellow 8 owners there as well...

 

First I have heard of this. What is the event about? We just cruise down to Montreal and hang out there with a bazillion other Rex owners? Any events planned or is it just a happy shin-dig with other Rex fans?

 

I should be able to make it.

 

its a show n shine , BBQ as you stated talking and what not and then theres KARTING planned for those who want to attend that.

it was a fun time... only a handful of 8's showed up though.

They let people access the roof, yes. Crazy.

 

I know there is a lots of get together in Montreal. Is there any similar meeting in the Ottawa region? I from Gatineau, and i'd like to meet other owners. It's almost the end of the season for many of us, but perhaps it would be great to organize such meeting before the end of November.

What do you guys think?

How exactly did you put it away? I know some guys pack their rides away for the winter but I'm getting snow tires for mine and driving it all year long.

I would be up for a little get together in town sometime soon. I missed Montreal, sadly.

 

I’ve parked my car in October last year and I’ve regretted since snow showed up only in late December. For this reason, I’m parking my car at the end of November this year.

So, how many people would like to meet somewhere in the Ottawa region?

 

I get my new 8 this weekend, would love to meet up sometime.

**** guys... Slick, Senna_8, Khyron, AndrewE... Where did you all come from all of a sudden?

I'm sure most of you know about Merivale/Meadowlands on Friday nights... There isn't usually many 8's on hand but I go as often as I can and meet up with the guys/gals in the Ottawa Mazda Club...

Would be great to meet some more 8 owners and I know the OMC would be glad to have more 8's in the club (There is currenly 5 that I know of, another 4 would be sweet!)

I've went to merivale few times last year and this year. And as you said, there is not a lot of 8 owners. This is why i would like to have a get together of rx8 owners only. Also, there is also the RX meeting, in Montreal, but this include any type of car having the rotary engine. Anyhow, it would be nice to have a Rx8 owners metting only, somewhere sometime in Ottawa. Let me know what you guys think.

If you want to mingle with the rest of rotary owners . Theres a huge Spring meet in ottawa. but not 8s only though.

Most of us put away the cars , so it will be till next year.

 

It have no problem with the rx7 car or owner. It is in 93 that i got the fever for the rotary, when i drove a brand new RX7. Wow, that was someting!!!

The facts are that i simply want to ensure there will be more than 3 or 4 rx8 owners.

BTW as i explained earlier. I do park my car as well. I've decided to wait till the end of this month. Last year, i've realized the end of October was to early.
