Perfect all season tires for Canada ?
Following an article in theToronto Star today I posted https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...threadid=29193
Since I have not taken delivery of the car yet, should I drop the Dunlop tires that come standard and get these Nokian WR instead ? If yes, which size ?

There is no such thing as a perfect all-season tire. By their very nature, they are compromised - they're not as good in winter as a pure winter tire, and they're not as good in summer as a summer performance tire (such as the OEM Bridgestone RE-040 or Dunlop 8090 tires).
The WR will do better than any other all-season tire out there (like the Pirelli PZero Nero M+S that gets good mention here), but won't be as good as a dedicated winter tire.
Considering that they don't make the WR in an OEM 18" size, and even in 17" don't make a tall enough diameter version, and you'd have to buy a separate set of 17" wheels anyway - I'd just get a proper set of 17" winter tires, and keep the OEM 18" wheels/tires for summer use. Better performance in winter, better performance in summer.
