Possible Calgary Meet for Datalogging?
So I ordered an EFIdude datalogger. This might only be useful for those with Cobb APs.
IT should be here in aprox 2 weeks, so after I test it out, we could have a meet and I could bring my laptop and we could datalog so some of you can get custom tailored maps.
Let me know what you guys think. Although It might not be so simple as yuo might need to datalog after you get the map to make sure there are no further adjustments that need to be made =)

That's decent of you to offer up the EFI for the communal good. That'll be awesome dude. If it doesn't work with your laptop, let me know and i'll bring mine or plug it into my home computer.
PS Ha ha ... I was just thinking that it'll have to be a midnight meet because of all the WOT 3rd and 4th gear pulls that we will need to do

I think so far it's only Daemos and myself that have it in Calgary.
Personally I find that the car pulls much better in mid-high range. Fuel economy has gone up (roughly 50km extra per fill up) ... mind you it makes you want to floor it all the time because the AFR numbers are so fun to look at ... so I'm thinking my fuel economy would be higher if I actually drove it normally
Drizzt, I keep forgetting to ask you but are you on groundpilots?

Yes, the fans turn on at a lower temp...as well with the datalogger we can now get custom tailored maps for maximum fuel efficiency (at cruising/low throttle) and power (wot!)
Now I just gotta find a highflow cat that won't melt and break the bank :|

Thanks for the info. Does the AP come pre-tuned or do you have to do it yourself, if so, is it fairly simply to do?
Total cost to get it here?
And no, I am not on groundpilots...
Thanks Blue.

I think if you were in FL, you could have ordered it yesterday, and be receiving it today, like I did
But then again, I had to pay tax since I'm in the same state

I can't remember exactly how much I paid but it was around $700 (??) including shipping via USPS... you'd have to check his website.

MazdaManiac customers that purchase the Cobb AccessPORT receive application-specific calibrations through the Custom Calibration Service that are customized for your vehicles modifications at no additional charge.
A $299.00 value!

yeah, there's no unlimited service. You pay for an accessport, you get free tuning. His time table is more than enough time to get your car up and running, tuned for NA or FI. If you need more work done later, you have to pay for it. He's being generous enough to extend the service retroactive for all the previous purchases.

^^^ Agreed. Unlimited custom maps for hundreds (even thousands) of people is an unreasonable demand of one man's time. From his posts, it seems all he does is check email and work on maps all day.

1) cost/hp ratio
2) louder than it already is at WOT (it's REALLY loud)
