The prefpkg wheels would be very good for snows
If I got wheels for looks I would get G-Games 99B Barracuda's

I was looking at all the options, Mazdaspeed rims and Performance package rims (somebody please post pics of these cuz I wanna make sure the ones I'm talking about are the correct ones), but I have to say, the stock rims look the best to me (I'm talking out of Mazda option only - not aftermarket). I mean for stock rims (compared to stock rims on competitor cars), Mazda did a pretty good job of putting some nice ones on our cars. So, I was thinking of getting another set of stock rims for the winter as well. How much do a set of used stock rims go for these days?
Anyway, unless I get a really good deal on some Mazdaspeed rims, the next set of rims I purchase down the road for summer use will be aftermarket rims. I still don't know which ones yet as I have to do a lot of research on which after market rims look best on our cars. Although, Kris' rims are really nice, but prolly really expensive! I have an '05 VR, so if anyone has a VR with 18" aftermarket rims, please post some pics as I would love to get some ideas of what my car would look like with aftermarket rims. Thanks and God Bless,
Ben.

The performance pkg rims are the ones in the pic above (Leesha). I also like the stock rims but too common for my tastes. Don't forget that at many of the places that sell wheels/tires you can view them on your car. I am looking at the black Axis Reverbs, 18" x 8.5", 20 lbs, ~ $300 each at 1010 tires. The MS rims are kinda heavy, ~ 25 lbs and yet the SPYN rims I got and thought I liked are 25.5 lbs, still too heavy i think.

Leesha, your 8 looks fantastic with the MS front. I want that and the sides but am also concerned about bottoming out as I have a bit of a drop from eibachs. Anyways, car looks great.

JurrasicIce, any word on those stock rims? Good luck with that fight.

I don't bottom out but lowering would be out of the question. I have 6'' from the ground...and when I park my car I have to be careful of the little curb thingy's... I've already scratched the bottom of the bumper...
Post pics when you get yours done...

^ Ok, I will post pics. But I'm still undecided about the rear ... I don't think I can afford the whole kit and am thinking about leaving the rear stock but I can't help but feel it looks unfinished, or maybe I'm just psyching myself out. I'm so close to ordering the front and sides.

Well, all those pieces will be available for purchase for the new RX-8.
So God knows how much the whole kit would cost.
Probably a bit more than what the series 1 parts would cost.

I definitely like the rear and the sides but I'm not crazy about the front. Maybe I'm just so used to the current MS front. The seats look like they might wrap around better, too, so less sliding around. Nice!
