Questions about the 8 for Canadian owners?

1. How much are you paying on average for gas per fillup?

2. Do you think the 8 is an easy car to steal? What kind of security system does the 8 have? Do you feel it's adequate enough?

Usually a fillup is about 55L...so about $50 per tank for about 310KM

Immobilizer built in...won't start without the chipped key........effective for everything but a pro or a tow away

I pay about $45 for a tank, and get about 400 km out of it, unless I'm driving aggressively.

Cool

I guess it's dependant on how much you pay for gas. We too get approx 400 km per tank.

100% city driving = 350km/full tank

Averaging 6.5 - 7.0 km/L

Paying $0.955/L x 45L = $43

50 ltrs for 400 km here .
It's a lot harder to steal then a 2001 Corolla , my wife was stolen yesterday. The Key emoblizer on new cars such as the RX8 makes it less attractive the thieves .

So far I've been getting about 320-360KM per 50L or so, again at around 50 bucks a fill. Just got the M flash though, and it's supposed to provide better fuel economy.

thanks for the info.

I'm trying to figure out what the car might cost me on a monthly basis, that is one of the reasons I'm asking.

Right, Rotorwheeee and they factor in cubic displacement (1.31L) which to the Renesis uninitiated must seem akin to a moped.

I think that's true. I checked with my insurance company 2 months ago for a quote. They quoted me $950/yr Full coverage on the GT model...I think that's fairly cheap.

$950? Sheesh, I'm paying 2150 or so a year, and that's WITH a 40% discount!
