Quick Question re: When To Clay Bar
I'm locking the car in the garage this week and going to have a go at all the paint chips. This is the first I've done this to this car or any car, but I just can't stand to look at the chips any longer and I've got a couple of big ones.
I believe I have everything I need including sandpaper, primer, touch up paint, langka, zaino products, dawn and clay bar.
Prior to touching up (and prior to preparing the chaps for touch up), I'm going to wash with Dawn to get rid of all the wax.
My question: Should I clay bar the car prior to applying touchup as well? I'm thinking that yes, this is the right time to clay bar.
Any thoughts?

It wasn't a question of whether I was going to do it. It was a question of when. And I've actuallly done it already. Washed with Dawn, clayyed it, some sanding of the chips and got some primer in the ones that needed it. Need to get some more primer on the deeper ones, then will start the touchups. The car's 5 years old and showing it but it's going to look soooo good when I'm done.
