RE: Invitation to the Grand Prix of Mosport, July 22-24, 2011

If you sent your name and contact information to the meetandgreet email address at Mazda Canada then you should have (within geographic constraints it sounds like) received a follow up invite email that had a link at the bottom. However that link is now disabled as they either assume everyone who is attending has already responded or they've run out of space. We'll have both the 8 and the Mazdaspeed Protege on display outside the meeting.

RIP Mx-3. Hello Rx-8!
I know it's way late, but I had lost the videos since I had tucked them in a folder on the root of my laptop, and formatted while forgetting about them. I managed to recover them not long ago and finally made a video of the presentations. Sorry I couldn't capture more, can only do so much recording on a 2GB card...

Does it matter since you've been consistently absent on events that you said you will attend?
:P joking...I think they will send us a email.
Remember, Mazda is hurting globally lately, they may not have as much resources as last year...but then as long as they still have their star mazda races here...should be a relatively cost effective PR/marketing/brand loyalty thing for them.

I'm going to be there some of today and Friday with my daughter then with my spouse Saturday and Sunday.
How about meeting up for breakfast at fifth wheel Saturday or Sunday morning?

There's at least 5 of us that I know that are camping together from Friday through to Sunday. There should be more people from the 8club camping there, just locally organized...
I believe 2 are going on Friday morning via the 401 (so it's by fifth wheel)...
3 of us are starting the meet point uptown on Hwy 7 on Saturday morning and taking local roads to Mosport. Would you be interested Darkbrew?

I'm planning to go down sometime today to pick up tickets and check out the site.
Then it's clean-up time; The 8 needs to look presentable.

By next year, if Mazda still offers, we should try to get everyone to show up!

^Good luck with that Warren, short of Mazda saying "we're giving away free cars", I doubt we could get more people in unison to show up. Last year when I went, half the people from the rx8club said that they were going never showed up. It looked really bad. How I know? Mazda had name tags made for all the people that signed up. On that day, there were still half the name tags on the table unclaimed.
I was surprised even after that Mazda decided to make it even bigger this year. SO many people complained and bitched to Mazda about how there's no support for enthusiast from the manufacturerer that Mazda said okay we'll sponsor and do this event for people to come. Then people no show.
It's bad that only maybe 30 people showed up last year (combined 8, 7, 6, 3, mx-5 clubs)... WHAT'S WORSE is people WHO SAY THEY GO AND SIGN UP BUT THEN NEVER SHOW UP AFTERWARDS!!! It just makes the whole RX8club look bad to Mazda.
Where's the integrity of people nowadays?
