If you sent your name and contact information to the meetandgreet email address at Mazda Canada then you should have (within geographic constraints it sounds like) received a follow up invite email that had a link at the bottom. However that link is now disabled as they either assume everyone who is attending has already responded or they've run out of space. We'll have both the 8 and the Mazdaspeed Protege on display outside the meeting.

I know it's way late, but I had lost the videos since I had tucked them in a folder on the root of my laptop, and formatted while forgetting about them. I managed to recover them not long ago and finally made a video of the presentations. Sorry I couldn't capture more, can only do so much recording on a 2GB card...

Does it matter since you've been consistently absent on events that you said you will attend?

:P joking...I think they will send us a email.

Remember, Mazda is hurting globally lately, they may not have as much resources as last year...but then as long as they still have their star mazda races here...should be a relatively cost effective PR/marketing/brand loyalty thing for them.

As promised, we have set aside two (2) tickets for you that grant you access to the entire race weekend, and VIP treatment for you, a guest, and your Mazda!

Your tickets will be available for pick-up at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park Registration trailer, which is located on the right when you enter through Entrance 3. Proceed to the table marked SCCA and/or Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup. You must present ID and this letter to receive your tickets. Your tickets will be available for pick-up during the following hours:

Thursday, July 19: 9 am - 3 pm
Friday, July 20: 8 am - 3 pm
Saturday, July 21: 8 am - 3 pm
Sunday, July 22: 9 am - 12 pm

Once you have your tickets, please follow the signs to the Mazda Corral, located on the inside of Turn 8.

As a reminder, your Mazda Corral tickets include:

· Four-day admission to the Grand Prix of Mosport
· Access to a private tented area and parking in Corner Eight - Friday to Sunday
· “Chalk talk" with Playboy MX-5 Cup drivers and tech staff
· Mazda’s Motorsports Development team will discuss Mazda’s new SKYACTIV Clean Diesel engine and the plans for its use in global racing properties.
· Prizes exclusive to Mazda Corral participants
· A chance to drive your Mazda on a parade lap and see first-hand the improvements to this legendary track
· Sunday BBQ Lunch

Attached to this email you will find a file with details about the Mazda Corral and the race weekend. You will receive a schedule of Mazda-related events when you arrive at the Mazda Corral tent. Also attached is the full schedule of race events, or you can visit the CTMP website.

We look forward to seeing you there!

How about meeting up for breakfast at fifth wheel Saturday or Sunday morning?

There's at least 5 of us that I know that are camping together from Friday through to Sunday. There should be more people from the 8club camping there, just locally organized...

I believe 2 are going on Friday morning via the 401 (so it's by fifth wheel)...

3 of us are starting the meet point uptown on Hwy 7 on Saturday morning and taking local roads to Mosport. Would you be interested Darkbrew?

Meeting up would be hit-and-miss; The wife is not a morning person!

I'm planning to go down sometime today to pick up tickets and check out the site.

Then it's clean-up time; The 8 needs to look presentable.

That RX-8 was the one with the electrical issues at the Victoria Speedfest right? Lost power steering, then it didn't finish the race, had to leave.

oh man, I remember that, and then the B-spec class, the Mazda 2 ran last place...

oh man sad day for mazda.

Darkbrew, I would just lightly clean the car... it's so freaking dusty there still, car wouldn't last long clean at all.... that's what happened last time I was there in May.

If you RSVP'd the invitation from Mazda by email or on FaceBook or on the forum then Mazda sent you your invitation and left tickets at the main (Eliminator) gate.

By next year, if Mazda still offers, we should try to get everyone to show up!

^Good luck with that Warren, short of Mazda saying "we're giving away free cars", I doubt we could get more people in unison to show up. Last year when I went, half the people from the rx8club said that they were going never showed up. It looked really bad. How I know? Mazda had name tags made for all the people that signed up. On that day, there were still half the name tags on the table unclaimed.

I was surprised even after that Mazda decided to make it even bigger this year. SO many people complained and bitched to Mazda about how there's no support for enthusiast from the manufacturerer that Mazda said okay we'll sponsor and do this event for people to come. Then people no show.

It's bad that only maybe 30 people showed up last year (combined 8, 7, 6, 3, mx-5 clubs)... WHAT'S WORSE is people WHO SAY THEY GO AND SIGN UP BUT THEN NEVER SHOW UP AFTERWARDS!!! It just makes the whole RX8club look bad to Mazda.

Where's the integrity of people nowadays?
