Re-manufactured engine- Recall 4206f

At first I am pretty upset about the engine replacement. It has only 17,000 km. Old engine never flooded and runs well. The only problem is the idle. I can feel the vibration like massager in the seat and steering. I really thought the car perform well since I have it.

Driving the “re-manufactured” engine in around town and highway for most of the day. I can feel a big difference. Now, the car responds much better, quieter, smoother, vibration at idle is much better only noticeable when my mind is thinking to check the idle vibration. Even the vibration on the shifter is much less. It pulls well. I can hit the "beep" in very short travel distance. Usually it takes a long time to get up there with loud exhaust noise and effort. Now, it is above 7k rpm anytime, it just floats and finds its way up above 4k rpm faster. I remember the old engine used to have a kick and sudden push, delay a few seconds when all 6 ports open with heavy foot on the gas pedal. The difference is smooth not noticable at all with the new engine. Not sure it is because of new PCM or the engine runs smoother, loosen up and breathe better. I like say it was good, I enjoyed every minutes before and now even better.

First impression of the new engine, I am happy with it.

My first engine replacement was a new engine from Japan. It felt so much better than the one that came with the car...different feel...different sound....better mpg. All was great until thee rear seal gave out instantly.

The second engine replacement (3rd engine) is a re-manufactured engine. It seems to have the same characteristics as my second engine. We'll see if this one lasts.
