ALWAYS fight a ticket. No matter what, if 2 tickets are on your record, and your insurance company checks your record, they drop you to a 5 star.

I get a ticket roughly once a year ( i drive over 150,000km per year, bound to happen), and by fighting them,by the time they actually get to court ( roughly 1 year for NRP, 1.5 for OPP), my tickets are either quashed or spread out far enough that it doesnt affect my insurance.

 

It's $428 for a red light ticket here...

 

I got a Red light camera ticket. They even had a website where I could watch a video of myself running the red light.

Had the tiburon at the time and the transmission was bad and didn't downshift so it was a very slow bad video

Hence one of the reasons I have a MT rx-8 now.

 

Mine was only $75.00.... that is scary

 

Holy cow, I had a red light camera pick me up at 88 in a 50... lets say i was about 500$ lighter that day.
