Even if Danielson's car is faster (but we know it isn't) than a V-Red car, it doesn't matter because he will crash it...or someone will crash into him...or a manure truck will spill its load on it...or a meteor will hit it...or it will get swallowed up in a sink hole....or 1000 rabid gophers will attack it....or an airplane will land on it.....or it will catch fire....or it will get run over a float in next year's T.O. gay pride parade.....or it will blow up from spontaneous combustion.

Suncursed Silver of French Titanium silver; its all the same. Their destiny is the junk yard.

first off, sunlight silver is only cursed because the sun reflects off it and gives the other drivers the agony of starring into the sun.

secondly, Titanium greys are not only the fastest but the strongest, as one of titanium's most notable characteristics is that it is as strong as steel but is less than half its weight. :p titanium rulez all muahahahahahah

question about 8's that appear to have higher HP.. could that be directly related to the way you drive(ECU tunes the car slightly)?

If so, why the hell can't we just set the ECU to the max ??

I maybe French and drive a silver RX8, but what I do know, I have over 37000 km on it, drive it hard everyday, and still kick everyone's *** (specially RED ONE),
I also drove my RX8 throught 2 winters so far, I do know the limits of my car, I am not like most people and just drive their cars when it's only sunny outside or summer only...it's a car and a car made to be driven !!! :D
Bring it on mister !!!

I just have to put down my 5cents worth as well....Not only do V REDS make more power and definitely go faster as result they also got the uprated braking package (exclusive to V REDS I believe) in order to controll all that power so much better....The Lack of a Photo Radar ticket this AM is enough proof of that ! :D

Danielson, unfortunately this is not much of debate, the fact is, Red are DESIGNED to be faster from the ground up. Even if you put in a Air Filter which effectively might add a best case scenerio of 10 hp to the wheel, you still can't beat their 20 Hp Velocity paint job. Unless you have a Turbo installed and recoat your car's paint with a different colour, I'm afraid there isn't much to argue.

Mazda wouldn't upgrade the Red's braking system unless they know it is totally necessary to contain the extra 20 hps.

AHHH !! Keep dreaming about it, I didn't see any RED one's having 20hp more on dyno on the day I was there in Toronto , maybe your guy should put your on the dyno and than we will compare the number after ... :D Than you may say, Danielson was right... I have only 167hp like everyone else ??
How did Danielson get 186hp at the rear wheel

There's a guy who dynoed over 200 to the wheels...STOCK. He went with other 8s who were all doing 180s...so no you're not kicking everyone's *** :p

We were comparing all different air filter and mods done to the car, my friend Helas can tell you this is all too real, he did used my video camera...Anyway, if you want to try it, name a place and a time, I will show you if red is actually faster than silver...because so far, it didn't happend to me, I can also tell you the maximum of the RX8 is 253 km/h and then the converner stop the car.
I love driving my RX8, I don't mind driving to Toronto just for show
This isn't true either! Where do you get this stuff from? lol

dmp dynoed his 8 (with a video) at over 180 mph...THERE IS NO GOVERNOR...FOR THE LAST TIME PEOPLE...THERE IS NO GOVERNOR

Wait a minute you only got 186hp at the wheel ???!!! geez these Silver are worst than I thought. If you pick up a brochure, it has a Red RX-8 on cover, and in it, it says 238hp !!! and as we all know the brochure ARE ALWAYS right and the numbers are the absolutely correct number.

So Danielson I think you missing more than 20 hp from the Reds.

You sure you weren't comparing your dyno with a bunch of Mazda3s ?
