RX-8 Winter Rubber Mats

Picked them up today at the dealer for $100. Cool embossed RX-8 logo. Fit great. I like them.

I got them 4 winters ago for my '04. They do look good and you can't beat the fit.

I just bought a set for 65 bucks from a member on the site. They are supposed to be really good according to all the ppl who have them. Protects the carpets really well against water, snow and mud. Recommended since they fit so well, especially if you drive a manual. Their pattern is very unobtrusive so your heel doesn't get caught in any of the grooves when shifting.

I got them when I got the car in October. See the driver side studded pad area where your heels are. It's been only 2 months of use, but let me tell you, there is a clearly defined area where there are no more studs (where your heel lies). That area wore down fast.

Other than that, yes they are quite thick and durable and protect very nicely the stock mats.

I've had them in for a few weeks and love em. They add some weight to the car but keep the carpet nice and clean.

If they last even two seasons they're worth it.. hell, even one.

I'm surprised alot of people don't have these tossed in at the time of purchase/lease.

That's a rule of mine whenever I have to get a new car. It has to come with all-weather mats. I never pay extra for it. It's always tossed in for free.

I have them on year round. Pant savers they ain't though, in the winter my pants end up soaking on the floor as I drive. But they do their job admirably, hardly any slush or snow gets onto the carpet or sides underneath.

Bingo......that's what I do......I make it the very lst thing and right before I sign on the dotted line. Don't mention it until the very last second after everything else.

Yea...cuz unlike SUVs or other large vehicles, our legs aren't exactly perpendicular to the floor. So unless you're wearing tights, the bottom of your pants will sag down to the mat...

I realized this shortly after rain/snow while driving.. my new remedy is really ghetto... I take the socks, pull them up and wrap them around the pant legs...

...anyways when I step out of the vehicle, sometimes I forget to undo that, and I end up looking like a foolish looking thug from a certain ethnic group stereotype hahahah

you can flip the stock mats around because the opposite side is non-carpet and has grooves.

Seriously? The 8 rubber mats? In that case, congratulations on a very nice design.

^That was at her old job. I tried getting a hook-up but it looks like i'll have to pay for mine. I told her I'd let her sign my mats once they come in.
