Rx8 engine and the Pothole

Long story short I moved to europe for 6 years for my studies here. Now next year I want to bring my car here. But the roads are very bad here. I mean bad!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now my concern is will the engine suffer and have a shortened life do to the apex seals going much faster do to all this vibration??

anyone???

No effect on the engine. If anything the Mazda Rotary is probably less susceptible to external vibration than a piston engine.

Now, get your car over there and go drive the Nürburgring!

now THAT's sexy.

I'd worry more about the shocks/suspension/rims etc rather than the engine dude... rotard it up.. and as wanklebot mentioned... hit zee Nürburgring and live out 90% of this forums racing fantasies (NOTE the use of the word racing there... jah perverts). :D

Well the reason i asked is because one of my friends from here told me he would never bring his rx7 here to Europe, because his apex seals would crack or wear out do to bad roads.....so I actually believed him LOL.... and started to worry about my 8....

They do sell the RX-8 in Europe, so one could assume that Mazda thinks it's okay. It's pretty hard for someone independently conclude that their engine failed due to rough roads.

Piston engined should technically be more subseptible to road vibrations because of the abrupt direction changes
