RX8 rock shooting feature

As some of you guys may know, Calgary is a balmy 6 Celsius which means all the nasty snow has melted and the roads are littered with gravel.

So anyways, instead of jerks sliding into me, we have jerks tailgating me. This morning in particular, there was a Civic or neon or whatever tailgating REALLY close (he was so close that I couldn't see his headlights in the rear view mirror). I was going to slam on the brakes to scare him but decided against it. Anyhoo, I came to a portion of road where there was an extra amount of gravel, and behold!! The RX8 shot rocks!! I could see the guy freaking cuz he slowed down and changed lanes!! I didn't do this on purpose but it was like karma ... he had what was coming for him.

Ha ha ... just thought I'd share the funny story. Maybe it was the new flash that detects jerks tailgating.

actually what works just as good but doesn't hurt the guys car is when you get on the wet snow on the road....turn of the DSC and you can send a rooster tail about 20 feet.

that freaks people out.

Haha... I've noticed how many pebbles/rocks my tires pick up even when cold as I've driven through town lately. Never thought of it that way, though. :D

LOL
hmm..... perhaps you can make a remote controled trap door in the wheel fender/trunk that drops gravel onto the rear wheels at the push of a button :p

Heck ... maybe we can figure out a mod to go along with the turbo to use the exaust as a launcher. I feel so James Bond.

well if it was a Neon the guy was obviously brain dead to begin with anyway!

Just let off the gas until you get to around 30K (unless it was the Deerfoot) and he will invariably get out of your rear view window for good. I used to slam on my brakes but then when they hit you- you spend far more time and effort than is desired getting your vehicle fixed, waiting for the cops and dealing with insurance etc...
I used to have a 1978 F150 that I loved to slam on the brakes for tailgaters and I never had it fixed- it looked terrible and they really just rarely confronted me. A couple of times I did it and it just ripped their front end up but I kept going. They know their front end isn't insured and they'll fix it on their own.

It also helps to have a headache rack with a couple of rifles visibly mounted.

If you have a sunroof just carry some marbles and launch them straight up in the air.

But you didn't hear it from me..
