I got the oil changed today and exchanged some words with my sales guy. It seems that a new colour is coming for an anniversary edition of the 8 burgundy redish/brown with a stitched pattern seat option. Anniversary? I asked him and he answered back yeah 2 years...okkkkayyy..anyone hear or have some better than word of mouth facts about this?

nope, i havent heard anything like that. Most people on this site and I as well, think that when it comes to sales guys, they know nothing about our car. If they dont know much about the current car there selling now, how much could they know about future additions...hahahaha. sorry for the rant.

 

Yes...there have been other threads on it. It is a cool looking color. Seats are cream leather. Very nice. I just can't find the other threads.

Aggie got it! The first mentions of this called it the Shinka Edition, and there's threads with pictures in the Media News forum section. The most recent thread is RX-8 "Sport Prestige Limited" version website , looks to be the same car with a different name. It will probably be available in spring 2005.

Personally, I think the interior colour looks horrible with that body colour not to mention clashing with that dark plastics, but I'm sure there are some people who will love it.

The body colour is interesting however.

 

We got the information from Mazda Canada today, the car is a limited production based on the GT with unique black cherry exterior, bright finish wheels, rear lip spoiler, double stitched beige leather, etc. all for $40,995++, sounds nice with all of the extras you get. Seems to be arriving soon in Canada no date yet and did not show up on our order lists.

 

Thanks for the info guys. The colour is interesting, very eye catching. We'll just have to see how it will look in the real world, but very promising I must say.

After going through the Japanese site, there seems to be three colour choices there. The one that pops out to me is the second one, the gun metal grey with a perl coat. From the exterior section, what the heck is that thing they show with the bubbles?

BTW does this mean we can buy clear side markers cheaper in Canada, since they'll be selling the Limited ed here?
