That was awesome
Thanks for the compression test and the spare trailing plug, wcs. I thought my weird idle issue was a compression issue but I guess it was that one fouled plug. I'll be keeping a close eye on it in the future.
The next major meet after the cruise should be at a track
edit: anyone else have sunburn?

Thanks guys for letting me drop by and get a look at all the beautiful GTA RX-8s! I'm thoroughly impressed by the efforts that so many of you have put into your vehicles. And what a great day to show them all off. Sorry I missed the cruise but I can report that traffic was light so I had a blast driving mine back to Ottawa!

Nice meet gents! Thanks to Mike for organizing and John for plotting the route and leading the way!
Inspiring to see how others are taking great care of their rides.
Also wicked to see my other Shinka brothers out yesterday...although there were only 3 of us!!!

Good turn-out, it was great seeing all those 8's together.....and the couple 7's.
Wished I could've stuck around for the cruise but the lil one needed to get home for her nap.

You drove from Ottawa???
Which one was your car??
I'm sorry I couldn't get to meet everyone... It was rather hectic trying to catch up with everyone at once... needed more time.
Can't wait for the next meet!

I have a silver 2006 - it was parked over between the RX-7 and the Miata. But I couldn't stick around very long unfortunately. It was a bit of a hectic weekend for me. But I'm really glad I got a chance to at least stop by and gawk at all the beauties.

Must've been a bit later...
While I was there it was the Miata, then my friend's FD, my FD, and then RXeckless's machine, and then some RX-8's.
Too bad you couldn't stick around longer. But I know how hectic those weekends can get.

Good to see it all worked out. I wish I could have been there so say hi to the friendlies I've met before and howdy to the new faces . The wife let me stay at Deals Gap for a couple extra days so this event was a no (compromise) and I'm still working out some kinks in my suspension. Next time maybe have it on a sigma or touge weekend and I'll be there no questions. If it's done on the right weekend I'll make sure to roll up with some other Windsor (maybe Michigan) RX8's. Our family of 8's is growing in south point.
This is a good idea.

Those of you who got low compression ... will you be replacing your engine right away (provided you still have warranty) or will you keep driving your car for a little while ??
I have low compression on my front rotor and i winter drive my car.. i was thinking i should get it replaced spring of next year so i dont make the neww engine go through a harsh winter
Is it okay to drive with low compression for a year ??

Low compression is simply compression values for your car that are belowed a pre-defined acceptable number deemed by Mazda. There are varying points of low compression. I remembered your numbers from the test are just below the cut off line, which is perfectly fine for daily driving.
Case in point using my engine as an example, my values were below yours at the time of the test, and going back, I had been complaining of those symptoms since spring 2011. I recall faithfully the backstraight at Mosport how RevRX8 (Jay's) car whom was in front of me was pulling away like no tomorrow. I was sure my exit speed and gear were correct at corner 5B, I had one extra passenger but it can't have made that much difference on the backstraight. At that time I had that nasty noise/rattle and powerloss; symptoms of low compression.
For you Ken, if you're not tracking your car, daily driving you'll be fine with low compression.
