Service plan question

The PO of my car chose the free scheduled maintenance plan because of the horsepower overstatement thing. I was told when I bought the car that this was transferable, but now surprise surprise an oil change is looming and the service manager is balking. Does anyone know the score? I guess I shoulda got that in writing!

Well, after leaving me waiting for 30 minutes while they confabbed about it, they reluctantly covered it this time, but warned that they might call me up for the money later! Apparently they've heard conflicting things from Mazda Canada about this issue. My sense it that this is just another case of a salesman saying anything to close a sale...

I'd think that with the amount of oil they burn, you wouldn't have to change it!
