Please pay Al $86 ASAP, he needs half of the deposit before he will book.

Hey Guys,
Because the track gets booked so quickly we need sign-up asap. We have till Wed May 6th to book it.
We will run the Shannonville Nelson track on Friday June 5th 5:30 - 8:30. It is basically $325+gst/hour, so we will look for 10-12 guys for booking. Basically with 10 guys $35/hour. We are doing 3 hours of lapping
I have talked to Al and he is going to try and get 3 or so instructors to come out to give us their guidance. Al mentioned the Nelson track is great for learning.
This is not going to be a free-for-all. Talked to Al his idea is 1st hour beginner intermediate training, 2nd hour more advanced, last hour open lapping. This is basically free instruction thanks to Al and his buddies which for 3 hours would cost a freakin lot anywhere else. Thx Al!!

When you arrive at the track please make sure that:
*You tires have additional air in them
*Your car is full of fuel
*ALL THE JUNK IS OUT OF YOUR CAR! That means truck, interior including drivers and passenger floor mats. For their own safety instructors will not get into your car if there are loose items.
4:45pm Drivers meeting, groups assigned to instructor and quick briefing
5:30pm - 6:30pm Groups roll out for on track excercises
6:30pm - 7:30pm Lapping with instructors in cars
7:30pm - 8:30pm Open lapping (no off-roading Jay and Eddie!)

I need to give the track a 50% non refundable deposit by 12 noon Wednesday. You dont need 10 or 12 people, it just lowers everyones costs. If you get 5 to commit financially you can get payed back as more people sign up.

I couldnt miss this. we are doing nelson this time? I thought Fabi was the one we were trying for? Not that i care, ill go regardless.

Al, i should be by the dealership either tomorrow or Wednesday (depends when the sock for my MS CAI comes in) let me know what i will owe you for the track time and i'll give it to you then.

For example, to establish a bit of a range, 12 guys for 3 hour session would be $88 each, whereas if we got only 10 guys for a 4 hour session, it would cost each of us $140.

seeing as how the vote is almost split half and half with those attending so far, it might be best to go with the smaller, 3 hrs. its more affordable in the short term so its likely to attract more people quicker so that we can get things booked in time.

Here's my 2 cents on this. I would say, let's book when we get 8 paid with the hopes of getting up to 4 more by track day. If that doesn't occur by 10am on Wed, all involved should send a note to Marc on whether they are willing to go forward with the plan knowing that they may have to pay up $184 for the track. Marc can then speak to Al

Where is Gecko in the other post he said he is up for it, don't think he is on much and Pros.
My thought is after Mosport this weekend with 23 or so of us going, I can see a few more signing up. If all else fails we could take a couple from another club just to cover the cost. All and all we should have at least 10 I would imagine by due date.

dude, thats really only like 1 day away. al said he needs to know by weds at noon. so we have tomorrow to collect interest and then weds is the deadline. If the 6 of us are footing the bill if noone else comes through, 180 is pretty steep when you add in gas....thats like a 300 dollar outing. Not saying im out or anything but ouch! As for getting people from other clubs...the reason im interested in going with you guys is because i know you and trust how you drive. I would rather keep that trust if possible, that way i only have to worry about staying on the track. So if anyone invites other people in, just keep that in mind for my sake.
