I'm still 5 secs slower than the other 8 driver
you should come over for weekends when that track by Merrit finishes contruction :D
but the 8's surprisingly composed in the wet, never lost it even with DSC and traction off.
on the other hand there were quite a few spectacular 4 wheel drifts and spins with the wrxes and modded front wheel drive cars!

yeah that Dan guy with the black rx-8 is really fast....how does he do it?

he can hold his own against the s2000's, he represented us 8's really well

 

I think it's all about controlling what seems to be uncontrolled movements. He's into stuff like drifting and I've seen him do stuff in the rain that requires some finess. Like whereas the places I would begin to spin out and lift the throttle as most of us naturally would when we lose control (let off gas and start braking), he would countersteer and just floor it to gain control. Just need to readjust habits I guess.... anyone with snowtires wanna go practice on cypress when it snows? :p

 

You guys are still auto-xing lucky!!! Our season ended 2 months ago.. WAY too early.

 

the local car club at my university has a thing called the "slush series" going on till next march (with a break in the month of dec). I've got my snow tires ready just in case :p
but it doesn't get that cold out here in the west coast so we're lucky!
