Some pics of my Shinka (SE) after zaino application

Here is my Shinka after zaino application. The car is one month old. The only options are the spoiler and aluminum fuel door.

I'm pretty impressed with zaino - a lot of work though.

Edit: for those of your less computer savvy, once you clicke on the picture, you have to click again to enlarge it and remove the jagged edges - the pics are pretty large (should've made them even smaller).

I did it over a couple of days as the first day I was waiting for the sun to go down. But, overall, around 6 hours (wash, clay, wash, z2, z6, z2, z6, wheels). Claying took probably the longest if you compare single applications.

I thought you werent suppose to clay it if it was the first application ( assuming it is since I think you just bought the car ~ a month ago) But damnit it looks good.

here's mine with a 60 min quick "wax" with turtle wax ICE:
Sorry for the best picture in the world, was a little busy that day ( but first day of Sun after like 2 weeks of raining so I had to clean it) and by the time i remembered to really take a "AFTER" picture it was already dark and the car in the garage.

Very nice...these polymer waxes stay on pretty long. If you maintained the car finish from the start, it should retain its sheen.

Yes, it was my first application. I haven't heard anything about not claying and zaino. I would think the two processes are independent and you can do as you wish.

It is a lot of work. I'm thinking to clay either once or twice a year (spring or spring and fall). Will do z2 every four months and in between z6. Shouldn't be too bad.

Falcon,

Where did you find the Zaino in Brampton? Also does Canadian Tire carry claybars?

I got the zaino products from The barber's chair (square one, lower level close to wal-mart). They carry most of the products, but I would call ahead to make sure they have them in stock. Usually they are $1 more than on the website. But if you but 3 or 4 products, it is still cheaper than paying over $6 for shipping.

Yes, Canadian tire carries claybars - mequiars and another company, can't remember. They come with a detailing spray that you can use for misting the vehicle while claying. Once that's gone, I almost used up a whole bottle for the rx-8, you can refill with a mixture of car soap and water and use that instead. The clay bar, I divided in two and used one half. Should still be good to treat my wife's suv and than the glass and wheels before I throw it out. Still have the second half. The kit is $25. You can also buy the clay bar from zaino, barber chair. It is about $26 or $27 and does not come with a spray.
