Thanx For The Purchase Help!

Hey Guys,

I finally got my RX8 last Friday... Just wanted to give a shout out to
Blue Frenzy (streak ) for the helpful tips!

Also "big ups" to Pete(yellow RX) for reccomending that I call Daniel @ Prima Mazda in Woodbridge.

After visiting a couple of dealerships and speaking to numerous others on the phone, I can honestly say that Daniel will take care of u like no other.
He was the only straight shooter, (no bullsh#t, no pressure tactics, etc.) and worked out a fair price. If that wasen't enough, the guy came in on his day off to sell me the car!
Just when I thought this guy couldn't possibly get any better, the next week on his day off AGAIN he picked up my buddy's car (a Mazda 3 that he bought at the same time as me); at another dealership 20km away 'cuz they didn't have the colour my buddy wanted in stock!

For anybody that's looking to buy anywhere near the GTA, check out/call different dealerships; but do yourself a favour... MAKE SURE U call/Visit Dan at Prima... He will take AWESOME care of u.... Mention that Pete and Roger from the RX8 club reccomended u call him! (just don't call/visit on Friday I think that's his day off!)

Cheers

P.S. If anybody sees a shiny new Blue RX8 in the Birchmount/Eglinton area (where I live) or the east end Toronto beaches (where I work) give me a good Honk!!!

Congrats on the purchase!! Now you know why we're so fanatical about the car!

Excellent color choice. The Winning team. Don't let Rotten tell you otherwise because he's delusional.

What specs exactly?

Thanx guyz,

I went w/ a 2005 GS w/ stock spoiler. I think I'm getting that chrome gas cap cover soon....

At first I was gonna grab a GT w/ moonroof. I few things made me opt for the GS (didn't care about leather, don't like tilt only moonroofs). I might consider upgrading to Xenon bulbs though, they look pretty sick!

Baka what colour RX8 do u drive???

I live on Leahann drive, which is just off Flora. I just bought one of them Simonizer (not sure how to spell it) car cleaning kits w/pressure hoses, no touch air drying and vacume etc. If u want to come by for a washing and a beer/burger sometime let me know.
(Geez I hope that doesn't sound as lame as I think it did)

cya guyz

P.S. This car is a joy to drive.... Handling/cornering is amazing....and it's sooooo hard keeping the RPM's down while she breaks in... can't wait to get a couple thousand K's so I can let it rip a little!

1000 K is fine for break in .... don't baby it during that 1000K . Redline it from time to time in order to break it in properly . The rest of the time ...keep in around 4000 RPM

I heard that if broken in slow ... the car would always be slow.

Congrats. I work out that way but only go into the office once a week or so. If you see a red GT, be sure to wave. I wave at every RX-8 in sight - even the blue ones - and I hate being ignored

Is that burger and beers (<-- note the plural) offer open to anyone in the area ?

Hey pete.... I was told not to crank it past 5-6000 until the 1000km + mark. U sayin I should wail on it a bit???

The BBQ/Beer(s) offer is open all around.... maybe I'll set-up an RX8club.com poker/air hockey shin digg at my place!

I'll keep my eyes out for u and your Ti RX Baka and Herberts Red too of course :-)

Did you get similar pricing in any other dealership?
I'm going to be buying a new 2005 GT in the next week or so.

Hey Rontec,

sorry about the late response, I've been busy driving my car :-)....
I actually had decent connections at other dealerships
(Oakville, and Richmondhill) but Dan at Prima was by far the most honest/helpful etc....

If you've bought already congrats!!!!
