Many Mazda Japan Accessories are not available here, apparently

If you're satisified with your dealer and want to reward them buy buying local accessories, rather than ordering them from Japan, approach them and suggest that their dealer's coucil approach corprate (Mazda Canada) and help organize a RX8-Forum Canada group buy (wont be all 700 cars). Maybe they can get us more stuff at a better deal.

A great way to reward enthusiats, and good marketing, and support your local economy!!!

It has already been happening for nearly a month now.
I have gathered all the Japan accessory listings, prices, and links to pictures.
Up here in Canada I have negotiated with a local dealer to provide a discount on a bulk order up to $5,000 at 20% off, and from $5K to $10K at 25% off.

I leave on the weekend for Tokyo, and SE Asia.
On my trip I am meeting with a couple of dealers in Tokyo ( our form has a rep there who is acting as driver/guide/translator) and we are negotitaitng for the Japan only parts.

If anyone wants the list of what I have compiled already, email me off list to:

And I can send the Excel spreadsheet with ALL the part #'s descriptions, links to pictures, and list prices gathered so far, with us and Canada price exchange costs.

When I get back to home on Aug. 16th, I will be organizing this further, to make the group buy(s).

We have freight arrangements already from Japan, bank accounts there, and commercial licensing, brokerage, etc.

I am NOT doing this for profit. I jist got my RX-8, and I want some of this stuff too. I figure this will be fun, and if it gets me my parts at a good deal, cool!

If anyone on the list has a place I can post the Excel file for public access, let me know and I will send it to them.

BTW, real name is Maurice, feel free too email me in private, but remember I will be away from Friday night until I return in August, with only sporadic access to email.

 

I talked to a local dealer (Mills Mazda in Truro, NS).
He's willing to offer Dealer Cost +15% (He's got to make a living) to anybody who calls and drops the magic words, no volume commitment. You'll have to work out shipping with them individualy, but that is a great price, and you can order today if you want.
I haven't done all the math yet, but depending on which part it is, Cost +15% seems to equal out to between 20 - 25% off List.

So, anybody in the East who doesn't want to have to worry about shipping all the way from Edmonton no has a closer option.
