Exclamation For Those of you in Ontario . . .

Basically, the Ontario Government wants to stop illegal street racing, which I am all for. Parts of the bill that they are considering passing makes sense (i.e. no NOS), but as it currently reads, anyone really who modifies their car in any way (motor, bodykit even, etc.) could be driving an illegal car! This will defenetly not stop stupid people from racing on the streets, it will just hurt automotive enthusiasts.

Sign a petition to reform bill 241

i sincerely don't understand how preventing people from modifying their cars is going to stop street racing... sure, it'll keep people from building faster cars, but very few people do anyways... this is retarded: a car doesn't have to be modified for someone to want to race it... not ONLY that, but simply because a car is modded doesn't mean they're automatically a moron and are going to race... however, yes, outlawing NO^2 kits on road cars is probably one thing that would discourage impressionable kids from streetracing, as that garbage is only good for dragging.

(YAY!! POST # 1000!! :D)

Wow, talk about a load of bull. There should be nothing wrong with customizing the look of your car so you don't like the the rest of the thousands out there. Man, the government is way too intervening sometimes ... hmmm ... actually, a LOT of the times ...

I've signed the petition. Hope this helps the cause.

Another good reason to live West of Ontario.

This is typical for the Ontario Government. But incase you don't remember, they were the first to pass the seat belt law in Canada.

If this reduces crashes by some %, (not that I think it will) watch the other provinces follow Ontario's lead.

You need to get the aftermarket companies on your side. With pressure from the business community, threats of lost jobs and revenues etc.., your eleacted leaders will surely back down.

Good luck in your fight, and remember in some small way you might be fighting for all of Canada.

I've signed it already. But when you consider the "street racer" type of person targeting those kinds of cars is the only practical way to find them.

If there is no imported Body Kit, then will MS be described as an after market products in Ontario?
