My cousin does tint in Vancouver....he's very picky...and does a great job

You can tint the rears as much as you want...but any tint on the main doors is illegal...never the less...I have gotten away with 50% on my doors...I ran 35% on the rear..and limo on the rear door windows to stop the looky loo's from checking out my back seats for when I have stuff in there

Downtown Auto Spa. They did my 3M Clear Bra. I highly recommend them for that.

It was last summer, so sorry I don't recall their quote for tinting. They also have a low-uv film, so you can go lighter tint and still keep the car cool inside.

By the way, make sure that you don't get metallic tint. It'll screw up your radio antenna in the rear glass, and f/u a radar detector.

One of their staffers has an 8, so they know enough to not flood your car!

I'm in Toronto, and I used ceramic based tints (high quality stuff).
If you don't want to look too riced out, the standard 35% (meaning 35% light transmission to avoid misunderstanding) looks very nice.

The laws in Ontario maybe different than in British Columbia though. I find that when you go too dark, the car loses its "class" appeal. When you look at a brand new BMW 335i, the ones that are super dark look really "modded and tuner" like, often matching well with big wheels and other assorted bling. When you go 35%, with a very much stock appearance, it looks classy, doesn't scream at you for being totally dark.

That's just strictly MY opinion though...
