Ok, so much for no accumulation, woke up this morning and there must have been 4-5 inches on the driveway, at least it will melt tomorrow.

I'm getting my summers installed Tuesday. So there'll be snow on Wednesday!

I can't wait to put my summers back on. The WS-50s were fine as long as the car was driven relatively gently, but the sidewall flex got annoying after a while. I miss kicking out the rear without the car rolling like crazy. I'm hoping the Potenzas last me until next winter... after that I'll need to consider new tires.

PS: Thanks for the suggestion about buying a used OEM tire to replace my damaged tire! I bought a tire in very good shape from Phlash69 and it's mounted and ready to go!

Calgary is a very strange city for weather. In the winter we can be at -30c one day and then +10c then next. Also we always seem to get snow in April and into May. Not many dumps just one big-*** one....anybody who has lived in Calgary for a while Knows not to plant their gardens or go camping before the long weekend in May. I will wait to at least the end of April before changing back to summer tires. That's one of the reasons why I bought the Bridgestone LM-22's. They are made for these kind of conditions where you have periods of dry roads. There wear better than most wnter tires.

I agree with you about the LM-22's, got the same ones just for that reason, and have no problems with them at high speeds. I don't even notice any tread wear on them as I looked at them when I got home from work

Ok, that's it! I'm swapping my tires in the morning just before I wash my car! Can't wait to finally put a good run on the car through the corners, I was taking it easy on them to preserve my winters.

Time to play!

Summers are going on for me today hopefully. Going to hook up the hose, give her a wash, back her into the garage, jack her up, and while switching tires paint my Calipers Yellow. Weee.

Update:

Washed it, backed it into the garage, jacked it up one time at a side, and painted the calipers and put on the summer tires.

Yellow caliper's look pretty sweet on a Titanium Grey. Although I didn't do the greatest job (Looks good from afar, but far from great up close), it'll do for now. Probably put on another coat when I change the winter tires off next year.

SUmmers are on, car is washed inside and out. Since I was swapping tires I power washed all my suspension to get of any lingering salt and mud. Was going to wax my car but there are all these little small black spots, looks like tar cuz when I try to wash it off it goes rust color. I can get it off easy with Nevr-dull but there are so many, do I need a clay bar treatment? I want to get those all off before I put a coat of wax on.

Where's a good spot to get them in Canada? Preferably with the stealth bulbs.

Well, I think the clear corners+stealth bulbs and *maybe* some accents (like the mazda accent package) would be the only extra bits I do to the car. Oh and maybe some tint... we'll see.
