im really debating whether i should go this year. i hate going into toronto....and every year the autoshow comes and i dread it. i go anyways, and i stress about parking. I stress about all the idiots driving around not knowing what they are doing. Often the people at the booths dont know anything (Al excluded) about the cars they are standing in front of. the one exception was last year or the year before. i was stalling becaues i didnt want to leave right in rush hour. so i stumbled upon a Peugeot 206 Deisel that was hidden. i didnt see it the first 3 times i walked by it. anyways, i stopped to talk to the very bored booth attendant. she knew everything there was to know about it. the car was in ontario as some test to see if it was suitable for our market or soemthing...it was a while ago. but i was really impressed. but the car was tucked away and she said no one saw it or even cared. soemthing like taht should be out in the open...and the ford and GM crap should be tucked away. people will go looking for their garbage, but the special stuff needs to be in peoples way for them to take interest. Also...i cant handle all the dumb people. I was looking at the new sequoia last year. i went over and lifted up the tailgate, and as i was stepping back to let the gate lift up, this jackass steps right infront of me and actually bumped into girlfriend and stood litteraly right infront of us. the gate was only like half way up when he snuck in. I was so mad. I was about to freak out on this *****....my girlfriend just squeezed my arm and said lets go look at the tundra. I really should try and get a job working one of the booths at the show so i can check things out when its dead, then just sit still while all the people do their thing. or maybe you can let me knwo the best time to go al....so i can avoid stuff like that. im single now, so no one to keep my in check. and im not a big enough guy to get away with picking a fight at the autoshow. lol.

haha, nice al. i might go....maybe. The owner at my work was talking about it and said i should go, despite all the crap. he made some good arguments. and with al working the mazda booth on saturday there is guaranteed one person there that knows what the score is. lol. Last year, the girl i spoke with about the RX8 had nothing to say about it really. she said there were 7 (IIRC) triangles worked into the exterior and interior of the car and challenged me to find them....thats it. When i mentioned the rotary engine she changed the subject right away as she had no idea what that was. I asked her if there was any mention of a redesign and she pointed at the furai or whatever the hell was there. I just laughed. I was more impressed with the mitsubishi booth (i was a mitsubishi driver at the time though). the people working there were much more informed, but more importantly, they were car people and were happy to shoot the **** about anything and everything car related.

I wandered around the Mazda 'exhibit' for a bit today. Didn't see Al there and I didn't summon the ***** to ask the girl haunting the red R3 how many cam shafts the car has.
I'm not sure if I like the dark painted wheels the R3 has. The 19s do look cool but I like silver wheels on red cars... I also like the 04-08 look more than the current one but that's a moot point since the Mazda designers have fitted gaping maws to every car in the line up.
