The service manager there doesn't seem to care much or at least don't know much about recalls, etc...

Nu 8 soon!
Here in Ajax but work in Markham
Supposed to be here in 2 weeks or so and hopefully the wait wont kill me. I've been out of town on business most of the last 4 weeks since I ordered it (Red GT, Man) and it hasn't been on my mind too much...until the other day.
Saw/spoke to another guy in Markham that had a Red same one and the itch is back...I can hardly wait now.
Wouldn't mind getting together with a bunch of guys in the summer.
Cheers

Hi Guys,
I live and work downtown Toronto. I have followed the development of the 8 for years and owned a Black 1990 RX7 since 1993 and so I'm a long time rotary fan. I picked up my Titanium Grey GT 6-MT with moon roof April 1st, glad it wasn't a joke. Even though I've been driven by Wankel power for the past 12 years I am blown away by the sheer enjoyment of driving this car. It's not like driving, it's like a totally different experience. This is also my first post to the forum, I've been following since the summer.
see you on the road

Hi there!
New to the forum -- just picked up my Winning Blue GT with 6M and moonroof last week -- and thought I would announce my arrival here, among my fellow Canucks![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Love the car and love the service at the place I bought it, Avante in Richmond Hill. The guys there really seem to know and love cars and treat my baby the way I would if I had the time and knowledge to work on it myself.
Car was delivered with the latest flash (M?) so it drives smoothly, with crisp response and outstanding tractability (for a rotary).
So if you see a nice blue 8 with a spoiler and front and rear crests zoom by, honk -- it's porbably me, LOL!

I'm located downtown Toronto - drive a Titanium GS 6MT and absolutely LOVE it.
Have only seen 4 other 8s on the road since last August - Blue, Titanium, Silver and Black. Think it's cool that there are so few - we're unique!

I drove my black 6spd around bloor n yonge while visiting TO last thanksgiving...and i broke a lot necks just driving around. I was suprised that there wasn't a single rx8 then (that's why ppl turn their heads so far maybe) but now i'm glad there are more. I will be in TO for june and lil bit of may. I also wanted to ask where you guys get ur rims and other aftermarket parts and where u install them. thx

Live in Markham. Work at Yonge and Steeles. Picking up my 8 this coming Friday...can't wait. I would also be in for a meet... in fact im thinking about putting together a show and shine / Gran Turismo tournament at one of the stores in my district...Sony is up for it so far. What do you guys think? Also anyone in an official toronto rx-8 club?

Hi,
I am a new member just joined in a couple of hours ago. I did however get my RX-8 in May 2003. Was one of the early birds.
Drive my car on the 410 From Brampton to Etobicoke every day & love every minute of it . Except for a few crazys!! that want to pull up to it real close!! that bugs me.
Getting to more technical stuff I wanted to mention that on a fill up of about 45-46 Litres of premium I get around 325 to 350 Kms. ( about 11.3 Litres/100 Kms) mostly highway. Seems like some of you guys are getting a lot less granted on how hard you drive it. Beleive it or not the dealer tells me I should be getting 9.2 L /100 Kms Highway & 12.9 L /100 Kms Street .......not true. I am still not close to those numbers. I was also told that the rotary loves the warm weather so its gets a bit better as the ambient temp. goes up during the summer months.
Also had a chat with the service manager about the re-flash programme on the ECU update. I told him that me car idles a bit rough at times....which is does and that the car is running real rich. I have excessive amounts of soot build up every day. I know the rotary burns oil but I think my car is running extra rich. The dealer tells me he will check it out and if needed will re-flash my ECU.
Sorry fo the long message but I had a few thoughts I wanted to sent out.
