Transmission Oil Change in Calgary
Hey Calgarians
I was just wondering if any of you know of a reputable place to change out transmission oil in our city (not dealership --> they wanted an insane amount). I was thinking of doing it myself but I don't have the equipment (jack stands, pump, etc) and don't have that much room in the garage. Alternatively, if any of you have access to equipment and/or can do it for me that'll be great! Thanks

For the cost of getting it done you can buy a jack and stands and do it yourself.
I would rather do the labor myself and know it was done right.
Also, you DO NOT need a pump. You just need a 3/8" tube from the engine bay to the tranny hole and use a funnel.

I do really want to try Redline fluids...I've been thinking of buying the fluids, and asking the dealer put them in instead of the OEM fluids. But I'm kinda scared of this, because I won't really know if they did put it in.
I will definitely be doing it myself after my warranty runs up though.

Hey Little RX8. I'm lazy so I haven't gotten around to doing it yet. The dealership wanted about 70 for labor not include cost of transmission fluid.
Thanks for the tip Turborx8 ... I seem to remember that's what GordBRG did when he changed his. How did you do the differential? Same thing but just through the wheel wells?
I see in your sig that you have the Mazsport Ignition ... how's it feel?

I don't have a clue if the ignition solution has made a difference because my car is still not running perfectly since I replaced my interceptor-x with Cobb accessport.
Once I install the Mazsport GReddy CAI I expect all my issues to be over.
