We need to find a camera person too, been trying to get in contact with our previous one, but she has been quite busy partying, and working.

damn...... it pains me to think I'll be on a different continent while you lucky guys get to beep your way through those canyon roads! =p
I would recommend motorola walkie talkies, decent range and good sound quality (better than the *ahem* ones that *ahem* brought to one drive LOL :p)
take tons of pics guys and please post them for poor old me stuck in this polluted land of the overworked with a *gasp* 6 piston receiprocating engine =p
have fun~

Guys, I may have found a videographer... My girlfriend MIGHT come along on the ride... so... gonna make her stick her head out the window this time. =P hahaha.
But just in case she can't make it, you other boys should try to look as well. =) it'll be good to have backups.

Meeting Place!
Let's meet where we met up last year for our drive?
At the church in west van on taylor road, right at the entrance of the british properties.
Here are the links to some maps:

I remembered that last year, some people posted on the thread that they couldn't find their way to the meeting place. Would it be a good idea to exchange some phone numbers now? Just in case we can't find the meeting place or something? Or would anyone require a morning call?
I don't know the policy about posting phone numbers up on the forum, so PM me if you're interested in getting my number or giving me yours.
I'll be more than happy to give anyone a morning call. =) Just don't expect, "Good morning..." It'll be more like, "Get your *** out of bed now!"

I was the one that couldn't find the place last year. I had a map from mapquest and it lead me to the wrong place.. it strange when you type in the address and it shows a different place.. hopefully the telus map and direction is right. i'm going by that.. see you there.. oh.. i'm in east van area.. i wouldn't mine joining up closer here and driving there together so i won't get lost... hehe....

Hmmm... As of this very second, www.theweathernetwork.com says it'll be variable cloudiness... (at least in vancouver and whistler.) But I've never had too much faith in the weather people....
I really really want to do this drive. How 'bout as long as it doesn't rain we do it? How does everyone feel about that?

My suggestion is we continue as planned, if the weather is truly that bad, then we can make a decision after we reach Whistler, because the weather further up might be pretty good. Remember we had rainy sections last year, not bad ones though, and it turned out nicely, helped clean the windshield a little
Eldon, if necessary, we can try to figure out an alternate route to drive, but I think this is one of the best, and I think it will be fine overall, if it rains, we just need to be a little more careful around the corners than we were last year. My tires are getting a little, well.... lets just say, its almost time for new tread

We DID have rainy sections last year, didn't we? Almost forgot that... Better review the video tapes some more. =P
Yeah, your suggestion sounds good. So we'll meet rain or shine, and when we reach whistler, we'll see if it gets any better. if not, then we'll turn back... but hopefully it'll be awesome, and we can keep on rolling!

I will try to be there before 9am, just have to grab some chow, and some gas on the way, then I am good
Might be good to grab a quart of oil, just in case any of us have problems again
