Yeah, we were looking around and wondering which "old guy" could have been dan.
Anyways, it was nice to meet both Eldon and Alfred. For those of you who missed out, we met at Metrotown, drove to Burnaby Mountain golf course, wacked some golf ***** at the range, and enjoyed a beautiful sunny afternoon sitting at the clubhouse patio having nachos and beer. As a fairly new RX-8 owner I had a good time talking to the guys about the car and about anything. Maybe we can get something more concrete planned ahead of time to give people more notice for a summer meet. Hopefully we can get more people out then so we can grow our Vancouver 8 community.

 

Yeah man, hope to see you around too. Just not at my work place though!

WoW, sorry guys. I haven't been checking the Canadian board, because it's very quiet. I would have loved to come out and meet you guys. Next time I will be there, dude. I have a very stock WB-8 right now, sure we can get together and chat about what mod to get, where, $$$ ... & what not.

I propose the next meet be at Burnaby Mountain, at Horizons Park at 7pm Sunday.

Which Sunday? = I don't care! (Just a month notice please)

I'll let you guys decide on that. But ya, if you want a perfect place to park our Mazda RX8s, why not on a mountain top (in a parking lot) with the sunset (8:26pm) as the backdrop behind our RX8 club. - Very COOL.

The view is spectacular, and it's a hell-a cool place to hang out. Every guy in BC should get to know how to get here in his sleep. After all, it is THE PREMIUM place in burnaby to take your hot date for that romantic excursion. (I said excursion right?)
[It's one of those a "make out points" in BC]

Did I mention there is a 4 star restaurant there? (Explains the parking lot).
I try to be there every Sunday to see the last sunset of the week. Anyways, if you guys have a meet, that's the best place in my book. Besides, I'll be there anyways.

Hey Gyro, since I live so close at SFU, I would normally jump at going along with a meet place at Burnaby Mountain, but you kind of lost me at "romantic excursion" and "make out point"! haha
But hey, we could start there as an afternoon meet location and we could maybe go somewhere to eat from there. Eldon (him) asked me to start a new thread for our next meet so look for the new thread. Maybe this time it will be a huge turn out and we'll get twice as many people!
BTW Alfred (orange) in my books you will always be an honorary member of our Vancity rx-8 community! If you want I could let you ride shotgun
