there was an Sunlight Silver RX-8 on the news yesterday (December 4th). it was on Nancy Greene Way (the road leading to Grouse Mountain) and crashed into a parked car. i think it still had the stock tires on it.

anyone here? hope you're okay!

well i learned my lesson last year that the comute in this car is impossible with even a bit of snow on the ground..... last year there was a week where i could not drive my car because of the ice and snow in my neighborhood! the GS with no traction control just rotates sideways with any application of the gas or brake! so i took all the precautions this year!! Also i don't want to ruin my nice new chrome rims (ie salt and running into curbs...).......i drive from Richmond to West Van each day so if i don't have winter tires its a damn expensive cab ride!! lol

So better safe than sorry i say!

That cannot be the funnest commute. Off topic, but what time of the day do you do that and how long does it take?

I commute at various points in the day, depending on my shift time.

20-45 minutes is expected, depending on time of day.

Vince: How do you like the Basics?? I was wondering if you were going to jump off the fence How low did you set them up?? I had my JIC too low for a while...they looked real cool ( but I'm 40 ) but it was a PIA because they rubbed on anything.

Make sure you get an alignment from a good shop...cause the toe in will change qiute a bit when you drop it...and really eat tires

Dan i've only been driving on them for a day now........i must say i like them.... much firmer than my precious Espelir setup but not uncomfortable at all....... plants itself on the road well......minimum body roll.... I dont track my car so these coilovers fit my bill perfectly

And yes i got a 4 wheel alignment done today at Advance autos.... very reputable alignment shop.... many Auto-Xers get their car done there so they know what theyre doing

I've got about 1 finger gap front and back right now, no scraping whatsoever

[rant]ok come on... now there is a SAD story yesterday night,
i was going downtown clubbing with my friend, i didn't drive, i saw a black rx8 with factory kit and wing, enki wheels? and exhaust, and slotted rotor... we stop at the light ( i was in a G35 sedan), i roll down the window and ask him, are u from rx8club? he give me a weird look and his gf was saying something, ok he igore me, FINE... we took off at the green ( we are in granville st )
frist it was ok, cuz we was in a hurry, driving around 100km/h :P. then the rx8 FLY BY us around 150km and cut infront of us and BRAKE, ok that tick me off right there, i was being nice to ask are u from the club? and what he done is totally unaccpetable, and he is young too, and my friend were PISSED, we weren't even trying to race with him, he think we want to race with him.

and TO YOU (the one who had that black rx8 yesterday driving on Granville around 10pm), u think ur rx8 can smoke my friends G35 with cams, cam gear, 3" exhaust, Blitz intake, racing coilovers, ECU tunned, DYNOED at the wheel 365.5hp, u think ur little rx8 can smoke it. and the way you drive i can call in the police and get ur *** busted. don't act like cocky **** infront of ur me, and don't act like cool infront of ur gf, maybe u own a rx8 is cool, but i have one too, and mine done up way better then urs. so think before u step on the gas.

GEEEZ kid these days.[/rant]
