Warranty on Warranty work ?

Warranty on Warranty work ?
Simple question
Is there a warranty on warranty work ?
In july I had BOTH rear lights changed under warranty for taking on water.
My full warranty ran out mid september.
Not 4 months later, both rear light are taking on water.
Now I understand that my warranty is out, however, these are NEW parts installed not 4 months ago.
Is there some sort of warranty on that? I mean, its kinda ridiculous that they replace the lights and within not even 6 months they take on water.
I have to have some sort of recourse.

Car warranty is the car warranty....
ie: Your taillights are covered until the warranty runs out, whether the lights are three years or three weeks old.
You have no legal recourse.
However...
Approach your dealer with a positive attitude.
They are in the customer service business, especially if you have a long-term relationship with them (are they the dealer where you bought the car new). Between the Dealer and Mazda Canada, goodwill has been known to occur (perhaps they'll absorb labour on new lights).
Also, did you know that you can buy just the taillight gaskets? Do this before the plastic chrome inside the lights gets pitted and discoloured.

Thats what I find annoying
One of those rear lights was changed TWICE last this year under warranty.
When I went in, in July, I told them it had already been replaced and that Id like THEM to fix it properly using the Gasket.
It was still under warranty and thus not MY responsibility to fix it properly.
They did a lazy job and just swapped out the light, when they should have done the job right.
I will approach them with a positive attitude, but frankly, to me, they dropped the ball, after I specifically told them there was a gasket procedure (which they should know).

Yes, most good shops / quality parts makers offer a warranty on their parts and or labour. In fact, I recall when Ford offered a LIFETIME guarantee on parts.
However, this is for RETAIL sales. The O/P's question related to the new-car warranty.
