Water Pump and Brakes
So took in my car on the 9th for work, just got the invoice. It says that my water pump is leaking and my rotors need to be machined. So I did a search and have noticed a lot of owners got their pump replaced under warranty. Called up the dealership, said its only covered for the first 2 years. My car is an 04, stil under warranty. Also what about the rotors?

Rotors? I'm surprised you don't need new ones w/ 3 yr. rotors.

Look,if you check in the warranty booklet, which should have come with the car,you will find that your water pump is covered for 36 months or 80,000km whichever comes first. The exception is if the damage was caused by something you did, like using the wrong coolant etc.If the dealer rep really did say it only has 2 yrs coverage he lied.
If you did not sign a work order to have the rotors machined then you do not have to pay.
