Weird experience with TintKing
Well, I called called a local tint king to inquire about tint. 2 minutes into the conversation, the guy tells me that he doesn't think his shop is for me because of the questions.
Talk about weir. I asked him what tints he uses and I asked him how much of a gap he leaves at the top of the window. I think they are know for the $99 tints, at least here in Canada. In the US, they list formual one tint which is pretty good.
I don't want a $1000 tint and neither a $99.
I guess I will cross tint king permanently off my list.

I think I will either go with Tint Master in Mississauga which uses Solar Guard Films or one of the distributors for Formula one tint, I think one is in Woodbridge.
I want something on a better side. I had a film put on my focus and it is getting wrinkles and does not look too hot after five years. Did not change color, but got wrinkly from heat it appears. I might go with something on a metallic side or ceramic. If that Formula One ceramic is not that expensive, around $400, then I'll go with that.
I want the film to last and look good 8 years from now, if I keep the car. This time, I want to pay more attention to the warranty as well.

I got some quotes on Formula One tints. They are one of the better ones. The best metallic is 245 and ceramic is 300. Pretty decent prices. Will probably go with ceramic. Metallic, I was told, might interfere with long range fm radio reception as the antenna is glass mounted.

I think they have a sale on as the person said the ceramic(pinnacle series) is normally 350, but now 300 and the metallic(ultimate series) is 245 - not sure how much normally.
Another place in Newmarket quoted 305 for metallic and 335 for ceramic.
I'm booked for May 6th.
Edit: helas, did you get the same all around or darker rear and back. Have any pics? what shade did you go?

I went darker on the back three and a shade lighter on the front. 25% on the back and 35% on the front (or vice-a-versa). It is soo close thoe you can not tell the difference unless it is in extream sunlight. The pics I have were taken with my buddies camera and the files are too big for this forum and i am retarted when it comes to computers and do not knw how to shrink them.
