Well Pete, here's the surprise!
Oh yeah! Loving it, drove today for 2 hours top down baby! It was a blast! VTEC is soooo fun and Man it is awesome to just point and shoot! Handing is much better than the RX8 in my opinion it's more brisk and direct.
This is an '01, it was nice to see a yellow '04 at the dealer, interesting metallic colour to it, this spa yellow is VERY bright.
I drove from Brampton to Ottawa last night and today to Cornwall. I had about 700Km seat time, and wasn't sore!
Few pics for the eyes (forgot to take HT pictures).....
Here I am backing her into storage so long till spring.

Congrats Wing .... What a beautiful ride.... My Gf's dad has the rx8 and the black 2004 s2000. I can't wait to take it out for a spin in the summer .... GREAT choice on colour. My gf wants a yellow one. They just don't make it in yellow anymore.
Storage Sucks .... I had to put the 8 away aswell .
Again .... congrats wing ... great choice !

They do make yellow again, go check out Classic Honda in Brampton they have a Yellow '04 but it's different, not as nice and it's a metallic yellow. I like the flatter yellow, it's similar to the RX8's yellow, I'd have to see them side by side to compare.
Hopefully I can wait till spring to take it out, I have the Hard Top it almost seems like a waste not to drive it on sunny days at least.

I hear where you're coming from .... I'll ask if i could use my gf's fathers s2000 in the summer ..... Will do another meet. ...This time it's gonna be a Honda meet.
My heart stays true to the Rx8 .... I've test driven both car along with the 350Z, but the rx8 did it for me.
The yellow s2000 is the same yellow as my rx8. Yellow and red are the only two colours I'd get a sports car in ! . Everyone has their tastes ..... I guess thats just mine.

Wow, I never had driven the S2k before, and now that I have, I would have chosen it first.
Now I have to preclude that with, this car is lowered with a spoon x-brace and spoon rear-tie-bar this adds to the handling and ride qualities. The S2k is more of an all out hot rod, where as the RX8 is more subdued.
Both cars have merit and are both excellent cars at what they do. The two things that really stick out for me on the S2k is handling feels sharper and the car feels like your flying.
210Km/h in the RX8 felt like a day in the park, in the s2000 it feels like 210 at 120 and that should mean I'll drive safer
I really loved the RX8, but really wanted a roadster for the longest time. Miata was on my list but it's underpowered. S2k was next.
Yellow ROCKS!

Just a quick note RE: Gas Mileage. I calculated my mileage on the highway with the S2k 8.0L/100Km
All this "it's a sports car, mileage should be bad" it's BS, Honda rates the S2k at 8.6L/100Km highway, and I beat it, and this was not all 6th gear, I was playing a bit.
