what engine oil does Mazda put in?
Just wondering if Mazda dealerships here (Vancouver specifically) would adhere to the manual and put 5w20 oil?
And how much is the oil change? Castrol GTX... good oil?

GTX would be bad. its a syn blend. anything thats blend, mixed or sounds like it could be is bad. Id use moto master, as its cheap and its not like your dumping a ton of it in there

are you sure?
they have always used generic oil for all the cars at my dealer, 10W30 I thought.
I guess it depends on the dealer...all I remember is it wasnt per spec.

i thought they would use Mazda's Oil.... You can get engine oil in a Mazda bottle from the service/parts department at the dealer (at least at Signature Mazda in BC).... and they have the right one that's specified in the manual....

Castrol as a Synthetic GTX (in black bottle) and a dino GTX (white bottle). I think GTX is fine. I can't find any other brands that has 5w20....

Ive been running mobil1 in my 7's, and snowmobile oil as preix for 8 years, but who's counting. OMP sucks ***, and its too bad the computer doesnt like it not being there, coupled with the screw looking gastank from hell.
as i side note, ive never seen the white bottle, but i dont really look to long in the CT
