Apology accepted.
Put whatever you want to in your car. It just makes me laugh at the number of people on this forum that buy these cars and then bitch constantly about the poor fuel economy and the price of premium fuel, then justify to themselves why it's okay to run regular grade. Maybe it won't make much of a difference on performance, but if someone doesn't care about performance then why buy a sports car?

maybe we should go back to owning a civic or better yet the Scion FRS and Subaru BRZ is a better choice.
This just means more available parts for us rotary heads.

All I can say to that is; maybe buying something just because you want to isn't always the best reason to buy something. ie: buying a car which requires premium fuel and gets poor fuel economy and then bitching about the fact that it takes premium fuel and gets poor fuel economy.

Mazda recommends 96 RON in Japan, should be about 91-92 here, which uses a (RON + MON)/2 rating/
I only put in 91/93 that has no ethanol.
Carbon8, you can act cool because you spend more on fuel that has a high octane rating because of ethanol, an additive that is not good for our cars.

87w/10%ethanol or 93w/10%ethanol
Not a whole lot of mental capacity goes into that question right there
Paimon is completely correct marina"s are about the only places in the US that have ethanol free, so I really don't understand your condesentive attitude.
Lack of knowledge leads to aragance, thusly your statement of fiction is born.

Buddy, your rippin on others. This is in a Canada thread, I have 12 gas stations to choose from that offer non-ethanol petrol. Your lack of knowledge is showing.
Know it all people make me laugh, if you can't find the gas, you live in the USA.
The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 is an American act. USA and Brazil account for 88% of ethanol use and Canada does not have E85 pumps (or very few of them).
So yeah, what I said is still correct.

Wasn't ripping on anyone, your statement held,no merit as what your pointing out is irrelevant to me. Also can't seem to understand the hypocrisy since you also use 93, unless your just one of those guys who has to point out why all your stuff is superior to everyone else's.

I don't know which is funny...saving a couple bucks or burning it...

That's a really well thought out response.

There are the only 2 reasons for buying something. You want it or you need it. I am absolutely sure nobody needs an RX8 so that only leaves one reason for buying one doesn't it.
You have a nice day Boeuf and enjoy your ride. See you on the road sometime.

I don't remember complaining about fuel economy. I don't remember saying I use 87 except when 91 is not available. Yes the recommended fuel is super or 91.

All that being said, I also hope you enjoy your car and have a great summer driving it.

i don't quite get why people have to argue about what grade other people use, the thread asked what grade you use so... they answered.
the reverse could also be said, someone puts 110 race gas in their car and then the argument goes the other way. why? because it's their car and they do whatever they want with it!

93 or 91?
I was thinkin' about trying this Shell V-Power 93 octane this summer but I found only the 91 here.
Today I asked the clerk about the 93 and he didn't know what I was asking about.
Does anyone know where to find this? In Shell's website it is listed as 91!
