What Should I Do? Give It Back Or Keep It!
I recieved my RX8 the end of January 2004 and about half hour after pick up the engine light came ON! took it back the next day they ran some tests got it back same day. The next day Engine Light came ON again took it back and they said I need a new CAT and O2 Sensor. I also have moisture in all of the exterior lights (Front Head Lights and Rear Tail Lights) and my brakes were screeching and the shifting in third and fourth gear were rough.
My RX8 has been at the dealer for the past 3 weeks waiting on parts form japan to come in.
What Should I Do?
Should I give it back and cancel the sale and ask for a new one or just bear with it and hope for the best.

Some Brake squeel is normal.
The condensation in the lights has been discusses many times as well. The concencus being that some is normal (as they aren't fully sealed units) but should evaporate off under normal use.
The engine light problem could be anything.
Do some more searching on this board, as some have had problems with the tranny, but I don't know to what extent.

True there are no lemon laws in Canada but here is what you can do.
Contact Mazda Canada and talk to them directly.
Bring them up to speed on the problems and tell them that you are very dissatisfied.
Tell them that you would like to have your current model replaced with a new one. A simple exchange.
If that is not good, contact a lawyer, there are consumer protection acts. I am sure a lawsuit and the bad publicity it can generate is not what Mazda wants or needs around the new rotary flagship vehicle.
Good luck and IMHO GET RID IF IT - U have a lemon

side bar to this....
I will not be ordering this spring.
Mazda recalls, and the numerous complaints has led me to believe that the new 8 is a bad choice.
I will wait 2 or 3 years to let Mazda work out the bugs
