So what's the deal 8 club? Footman no season kick off meet yet? As the weather gets warmer and stays warm, I figure the cars are going to be out. So anyone have ideas for when to start the meet and greet?
Maybe we can post up dates of weekends which are good for people and figure out where the majority is and set up a place for a meet.
West end, we usually meet at Square One, Falite's Irish Pub. East End, we could meet at The Frucken and the Owl by 404 and Steeles, North West in Vaughan would be Dublin Gate at the AMC/Dave and Busters lot.

I think to keep the club alive, we need to do more as a season opener. There are several new faces this year, and a few old faces have disappeared. The weather is still a little chilly for anything like a full-on parking lot BBQ, because if we want to do that, there are parks where we can all park our cars in the parking lot and have a BBQ on grassy surface right beside it. It's more of a summery thing to do though, so we have to wait for warmer weather.
A spring opener.... I remember a few years ago we did a spring detail meet at a member's house in Mississauga, that was pretty cool.
Start brainstorming some ideas people.

A spring mod day is what we do in Windsor, we have winter meets though.
My car and many others have the butterfly effect in the spring, and when installing new things it's nice to have others there for advice and help. Detailing and waxing too.
I'll come out to a meet out that way sometime in the season though and pass through the black hole of London (I hate that area for some reason).

Sounds awesome, lot of the members of the GTA chapter are around, just busy with life.
Whatever happened to Mazda and them setting up a meet at HQ? Insert crickets chirping
A BBQ or even a spring cruise might be nice, to get the legs stretched out of the cars, open the throttle, i got a full tank of stablized gas to burn through.

I'm up for a good kick off to the season. Anxious to get the 8 out and see you guys again. Been dormant for too long. Just need to take care of that nagging heat coming from the vents <argh>. As I recall there is a DIY fix -- will have to try and find that post.

Never sell! Some life transition stuff is all but all is good now and the car ready will be ready to roll when i receive a new battery -- old one went dead over the winter. The small batteries don't seem to last as long...

Trying to finish up this build is killing me.
All the little bits left are time consuming and labour intensive.
Major delay right now is my radiator or lack of one, entirely due to shipping problems (curse you UPS).
Hopefully I will have a radiator in my hands by the end of the month.
I still need solutions for:
1) Exhaust .... downpipe to midpipe is a dogs breakfast.
2) Sohn oil container: I've got Darkbrew working on this. Thanks Warren!
Parts left to buy:
1) 100 amp fuse and block for battery relocation
2) Oil Catch can
Parts I'm waiting for:
1) Gauge Pod
2) Spark plugs
3) VBands
4) 3.5" Aluminum tube
5) HKSSQV Recirc valve
6) -4an to 1/8 NPT 90 degree fitting
7) Radiator
I'm working on installing gauges and the battery relocation right now.
Hoping to be running by the end of the month.
