Where do you buy your oil?

I'm just curious what brand of oil everyone is using and where you're getting it? I'm not having much luck finding 5W20 at my local Canadian Tire, I did find some Quakerstate 5W20 at Parts Source but I'd rather use Castrol if I could locate some around me but I haven't been able to yet. This doesn't seem to be a very common weight of oil.

21 views and not one person can tell me where they get their oil or what brand they're using? Is this top secret information or something? Not everyone can be taking their car to the dealer for their oil changes can they?

I use Castrol GTX, which I buy at a local (non-chain) auto parts store.

Not everyone, but those of us who bought in July and August are getting free oil changes every 8K km! However - right now, for my own oil changes (every 4K km between dealer changes) I'm using Castrol Syntec 5W30, from Canadian Tire or Walmart or Auto Value. Mazda oil filters, until I can find a place to buy a supply of Purolator filters!

Regards,
Gordon

For oil for between-change top-ups, I buy the 1L bottles from the dealership. For the $1 or $2 savings, it's not worth the trouble of trying to track it down from an autoparts store.

As for a "my own" oilchange, I'll let you know once I need to do one.
I've done 3 oil changes on the car so far.
1st one at 1000km (day I finished break-in) I paid for since it was still July.. no free offer.
2nd at 6000km was free
3rd at 9000km (day I put the car into winter storage) was free because I got the oil-pan recall done at the same time. :D

Check out your local Zeller and Warmart Stores, some of them do carry 5W20 motor oils for very low price. Before that, I picked up a couple of Esso 5W20 from one of the local oil change place and each cost me almost $10...ouch
