Who Needs New Summer Tires - Group Buy for better pricing
#52
No need to do that...even paying the tax etc they are 40% less around here
I can buy wholesale here and they are often still more expensive. Canadian tire retailers have poor competition..and small market..so they tend to gouge
Last 2 sets they didn't even charge me the tax (no duty).....

I can do that also, but alot/most of the tires that are on discount are old models or just old 4-5yrs. I bought a set from belle tire in the summer and they are absolutely toasted, actually I blew the rear tires doing some figure 8's in the abandoned parking lot near my house. They didn't even last me a 8 mnths and I believe that's because of the age. + you cannot get premium ones for 40% lower.
But who knows? let's see some prices.
I don't worry about no stinkin' duties either.

I bought the same equipment that I had at Scarboro Mazda so YES WE CAN lol! We have the Hunter no touch wheel/tire mounting machine and the Hunter Road Force balancer.
A few of you have used us for service, but for the rest of you I have 3 techs here that are total car enthusiasts, they work on and build performance cars and my shop foreman is a Rotary maniac. We have the same or better connections for aftermarket parts and we can do performance alignments and all the things we did at Scarboro for the same money as you were paying there. I realize that we are Toyota in name but your still better to have someone who really loves what they are doing workig on your car rather than someone who has "its just another car" attitude.

hey guys if you all need tires I may be able to help, my good friend owns the mazda dealer up in Ottawa, and gives me 10% over cost on parst., Im sure if i can fill at least 10 orders or more, he would be willing to pass on the same savings to everyone. If interested leave your name and tire type and sizes. and I will do my best

I'm not going to buy tires for a while, but I really like the Bridgestone RE-760's as described by Tire Rack. What sets them apart from the other ultra-performance summer tires is that they are assymetrical, that is, they can be rotated L/R as well as F/R. Most of the uni-directional tires I've had got really really noisy with wear, and in as little as 10,000 miles. $158each isn't too bad either.

Neo,
Wedsport is going to raise prices by 10% in February. Combine that with our current 1:1 exchange rate, I just can't pass up on the deal... I should get them in early March. I'll take pics and install them in spring. Will also need to do an alignment too.
