Official Fall Meet for Windsor and Area was great - We visited Windsor Raceway and although they didn't race cars, we still had a great time talking and eating. Chad and Fisher were kind to noob Quid.
When is our next one??

The Autoweek Design forum is scheduled for Jan 12th in conjunction with the NAIAS. It's kinda expensive but I found last year's to be very worthwhile. Plus you get to visit the show on an Industry Day (no crowds!) with an Autoweek editor as tour guide.

Hello fellow Windsorites,
First post here, I got my 2005 black cherry Shinka about a month ago and up until yesterday have loved every second of it. However, last night when getting on the expressway the car felt really sluggish above 4500 rpm but felt fine below that. Once I was at cruising speed the CEL flashed before staying on. I went and got it scanned today and it said that the intake manifold was not functioning properly causing one of the rotors to misfire. My questions to you are, has anyone had a similar experience? And also since this is my first repair I was wondering where do you guys get your work done, and any ideas on what this is going to cost me? Thanks for any input!

TecShinka, it sounds like bad coils/sparkplugs, except, if you are trying to push the car when it has not properly warmed up yet, the oil is still thick and flogging will happen. I would recommend to get some plugs and coils, if money is tight I have some used coils to get you by, I have BHR coils now and don't need them. My car did the same thing when it started to get cold awhile ago. Also clean out your MAF, there are some good DIY's on how to do that.

How many Kms on that car? I purchased an 04 and with Chad's suggestion BHR coils and wires are the first items of updates (my plugs are fairly new) at 60,000km. Plugs seem to be needed every 30K. OEM coils are weak as well. S0 it really depends on where you are in the life-cycle and if these "maintenance" items have been done.

Thanks guys! The car is at around 83,000 km. Im trying to get a hold of the previous owner to find out when (if??) the coils and plugs were changed last. And Chad, I will let you know about those coils when I get a better idea of whats going on with the car but I appreciate the offer
