They weren't calling for rain 2 days ago! bastards.
Let's put it out there guys, if it is raining on SATURDAY MORNING, it is an AUTOMATIC cancellation. Do not even show up.
If it is raining Friday night, but cleared overnight and is slightly damp on Saturday morning, but drying, we have a chance!

Hey,
the IKEA restaurant doesn't actually open until 8:30 so do you guys want to skip the breakfast? or just push everything back an hour?
who's interested in going to the $1 breakfast at IKEA? is it just me and footman?

What a successful meet. 5 of us showed up and just filled the driveway fine. Thankfully the rain held off and we were treated with the best possible waxing conditions (cloudy day, no direct sunlight).
The cars were all so beautiful, especially the treatment we gave to CL_S's winter beater. Wow, what a stunner, I can't believe AutoGlym can work magic like that. Photos to follow shortly.

Damn.. the cars look great!!! Great to see some of the old crew get together.
I wish I could've made it. Unfortunately I had to take care of some business before tomorrows big winter tire swap.
You guys keep getting together whenever I'm busy. lol

That white line was ridiculous...
What happened was, you guys didn't clean the pad after awhile and just kept adding more polish. Afterawhile, you have to do that procedure I mentioned about running the polishing pad on a wet towel and then re-apply. LOL, it was jokes though, just painted a white line from all the spraying around!

Ya.. Great meet.. Thanks Maffu for hosting, and thanks to Footman for letting me use his wax & clay bar. I owe you one!
My car is back to normal again after more then a year of being pretty much ignored!

I didn't have such a good time today.
The lock nut for the 6 decided to break into a thousand pieces. I managed to take off 1 wheel before the thing just exploded on me on the 2nd wheel.
I attempted to find a place that could help me out, but alas, its Sunday and everyone points to the dealer.
So after running around, I got back home, put the summer wheel back on the 6 and put the winter tires in the trunk so I can take it to the dealer tomorrow to get those lock nuts off.
thankfully I was able to finish the winter swap on the Miata. That car badly needed it. The summers are bald!!! It was a bit hairy when I was trying to look around for that lock nut. The car was getting more sideways than normal.
1 car down, 1 to go.
