Xenon headlight AND daytime running lights?

Xenon headlight AND daytime running lights?
When I switch on the xenon headlights, the daytime running lights are also on. Is this correct or should the daytime running lights turn off when I have the xenon lights on?

The daytime running lights do turn off when you turn on the headlights. However, there is another bulb there that stays on, and I think that's what you're mistaking for the DRLs - it's part of the park lights! The DRL is the high-beam bulbs on reduced intensity. That reduced intensity high beam does go off when you turn on the headlights.

When I turn on the night lights, the side markers go on as well, I assume this is normal.

what kinda led bulbs do ppl use to switch their parking lights (the glossed over projector style light closest to the centre of the car) from halogen to led? hard mod to do?
