No one wants to touch the engine since most have no extended warranty on them.
Whatever price you have listed, potential buyer needs to budget another 3-5K in case of a rebuild, worse in Canada since we don't have great options for rotary specialists.
Good luck with the sale hope somebody picks this up and continues to give it some love. If you do resort to a part-out (no intent to pressure you that way but it's nice when parts are already in Canada) I'd be interested in the Turbo XS Catback and potentially the BNR upgraded Greddy.
PS. Looks like a very clean FD you picked up!

because of new strict emissions in Ontario I no longer want to renew my sticker, therefore i'm looking to unload it as getting it to pass an in e test ontario is just another thing to do. bring a truck my american friends! or out of province canadians..... taking reasonable offers --- PM me

Hey, if you end up parting it out, I'm very interested in the turbo kit. Give me a shout if anything. I'm located in mississauga.
Not to derail the thread, but what has changed about Ontario E-testing? The only change I'm aware of is that they connect an OBDII reader, ensure there is no CEL and most of the readiness checks have completed. Your answer might prove useful information for potential buyers.

It's a stand alone ECU
That might be the major hurdle?
what has changes is there is no more 'conditional' pass. due to the car not having a cat or air pump these sensors come up as not ready. therefore to get an pass you have to
-install cat pipe $150 to pass initial visual inspection (just in case)
-fail initial E-test (sensors not ready)
- wait 48hrs/ >40km and get 2nd E-test fail $17.50 (sensors not ready)
-return for 3rd and final tail pipe test $30 --two-speed idle tailpipe test or a visual test if all of the following conditions are met
• your vehicle has received two consecutive “not ready” test results
• 48 hours or more have passed between each test
• your vehicle has been driven at least 40 km between tests
• your battery has not been disconnected and the on-board computer codes have not been cleared in the last 40 km of driving
• the number of “not ready” monitors has not increased during the second test
• you do not have all of your non-continuous monitors in a state of “not ready” at the second test
-then you get a Full pass good until plate renewal 2020
not to derail my thread but you did anyway........

Beautiful setup .. GLWS
its not a standalone ECU its the 'select' series which is a stand alone only in operation for the engine, everything else including sensors is run off the stock ecu piggy back style. the e-test is a bit of dicking around but isn't something i wouldn't do to drive the car myself or if i was buying from me.
currently it is for sale because i simply bought another car, for the right buyer someone who understands the vehicle and sees the work invested, they will be getting a huge deal.
