BHR Midpipe

Up for sale is a non-catted BHR midpipe with an extra O2 bung. The midpipe needs no introduction. It is hands down THE BEST midpipe for the RX8 available.

The pipe was only used for about 3000km, so it is like new. I hate to give it up, but I need to get a rat infestation out of my R3.

There WAS a catalyst installed when my original order went through, however the track was not kind to it and it broke apart. It is now essentially a regular BHR midpipe.

Asking $450 local pick up. Brand new shipped to Toronto would run you $650 including shipping.

So it's the single resonated BHR midpipe that originally had the DaveSport cat which broke up in only 3000km? And you have a rat infestation in your car??

Also, how loud does this make the car? Was it quieter when the cat was still in there?

Yes, it is the same pipe. Yes, I do have a rat infestation in my car. The two are not related, the pipe has been off the car since the beginning of august and the infestation started a month ago when I stored the car. Cue cat joke.

The cat shouldn't make much of a noticable difference in the sound, it was a high flow cat.

Amazingly the pipe does not make the car loud. It is close to stock while driving casually, maybe a bit deeper and more pleasing. When you open up the throttle the sound becomes much more enhanced and aggressive. It is a very easy pipe to live with sound wise. ZERO rasp, and it will maintain its tone forever unlike other midpipes on the market.

I may be interested after I pass my e-test this week. Thank god for that new rule for cars in Ontario newer than 7 years or something not needed to pass an e-test every year. I'll let you know.

Are there any "pieces" of the cat still left inside? Also where are you located?

Hey man I'm still kinda interested but at the price you're asking it's tough. I can get a brand new one from BHR without a cat for $450 and I wouldn't have to dig out parts of a blown out cat in that case...

I'll be digging out the blown out cat for the buyer. I also have the extra O2 bung for a wideband sensor (which can be capped if not used).

Shipping and border fees will run you $150-200.

There is also the agonizing 2-3 month wait which is the equivalent of slowly inserting 200 yards of barbed wire into your urethra and then having a 9 second car drag it out on the quarter mile.
