Neo ProLink iPod Adapter for sale
Hey all,
I'm selling a barely used Neo ProLink PODMAZV1 iPod adapter for 2004-2006 model years. This unit plugs directly into the external CD-changer port on the rear of the head unit and allows full control of your iPod including steering wheel controls, as well as charging your iPod while plugged in. It also includes a 3.5mm auxiliary input for other MP3 devices, aftermarket satellite radios, etc. The cable for the iPod itself is approximately 57" long. Internal CD-changers are not affected, but if you have the factory satellite radio installed, it would have to be disconnected.
Details can be found at the company's website: Neo Car Audio - Mazda RX-8
Retail new is $179.99 USD. I am asking $100.00 CDN.
Reason for selling is that I decided, shortly after installing this unit (it was in the car for maybe a month), that I wanted something with integrated Bluetooth (I don't like wearing earpieces) and have since replaced this with the Xcarlink unit.
The factory headunit's firmware revision must be 9.55 or greater. I don't know if it will work with 9.81 or 10.01 firmware revisions. To find out which revision your Mazda RX-8 has, make sure the radio (FM) is turned on, then press and hold "TEXT." Then, also press and hold "1" at the same time for a few more seconds. The LCD should then report your firmware version.
I am located in Newmarket, but also travel north to Barrie several times a week.
